Examples of how we serve our clients
Separate from the technical examples included in our portfolio, the below case studies offer glimpses into our relationships and work with various client partners. The projects vary by industry, technology, geography, size, and scope, but a few consistent threads run through each, including: our focus on the customer, our technical competency, and our work ethic. Additionally, all but one involve long-term, multi-year relationships. Though these case studies represent a fraction of our 500+ clients served since 1995, they are emblematic of our approach to all customers and projects.
We would be happy to discuss any of these, or any other past work not listed here, with you at any time. Please contact us for more information.

Up and Running Flexes its Drupal Skills in the Service of Improved Health Care
Our partnership with American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA) represents two verticals in which we're particularly experienced—health care and professional associations. With over 5,400 members from 65 countries, AMIA operates a public-facing website and several members-only sites with archives, courses, and more. Needing to upgrade and later customize its Drupal sites, but without the budget for a full-time in-house hire, AMIA brought on UAR to scale up and down as needed over the years.
Up and Running Helps FDB Improve the Lives of Patients and the Efficiency of Doctors
We're grateful to have contributed to truly life-saving work in partnering with First Databank, part of the Hearst Health network. This work passed Drug Enforcement Administration and Food and Drug Administration audits, as well as met standards established by the The Joint Commission and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology’s (ONC) Health IT Certification Program.

Henry Schein: Financial Portal for Global Health Care Leader
Our work on Henry Schein's portal for processing large amounts of critical financial data is an example of our repairing and improving upon a pre-existing system. We implemented greater stability and an improved user experience, as well as allowed for compatibility with future updates and enhancements. Our solution—built upon NodeJS, Express, and jQuery, and including unit testing throughout—resulted in a more reliable and accessible product for end users and administrators alike.

We're proud to have partnered with Metrical since its early days. The San Francisco Bay Area-based analytics and data insight startup is one of several Silicon Valley-based clients whom we work. Our ongoing partnership with Dr. Daniel Marcus, PhD, has covered a range of projects in the field of neuroinformatics, both for his university-related work as well as Radiologics, a private company aiding research institutions worldwide. Our work focuses, among other things, on complex user interfaces, and it contributes to products that aid in research and work related to neural disorders. Additionally, we allow Dr. Marcus and his teams to quickly scale, about which he notes UAR’s "[reliability in] delivering quality work on time without the need for any management on my part."
Up and Running gets creative with a pharmaceutical giant: Sanofi Genzyme turns to UAR for compliance and CRM data management

Furthermore, our work ensured Sanofi’s compliance with federal transparency regulations.
Up and Running Joins ScienceLogic in the Clouds, Network Expertise a Valuable Asset in Partnership
This is a look into our work for ScienceLogic, a renowned AI, machine learning, and cloud computing expert. Our primary task was to help build features and components of PowerPacks, a collection of pre-built integrations that extend performance monitoring capabilities and essentially serve as plug-ins for EM7, ScienceLogic’s hybrid IT monitoring platform. This work utilized not only our development competencies, but also our skills in systems management, including low-level work with Amazon Web Services. UAR allowed ScienceLogic to quickly scale as needed before the company transitioned to a more in-house approach.
